ALEXA HAMMER, LMFT
We all go through struggles in life, and there is no reason why we should go through them on our own.
Therapy is a safe place where, together as a team, we aim to work towards your goals and through whatever challenges you are facing.
Some of us enter therapy with very specific goals, other times the goals become more clear as therapy progresses. Either way, something that is necessary is an openness and willingness to participate.
I understand that therapy can be overwhelming in the beginning, and that is why my goal is first and foremost to always ensure that you as the client feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
Therapy offers the opportunity to heal, evolve, and ultimately thrive.

I work primarily with teens and adults and with a variety of presenting concerns:
Stress/Anxiety
Panic Attacks
Depression
Grief/Loss
PTSD/Trauma
Addictive/Self-Destructive Coping Mechanisms
Body image/Disordered Eating
Codependency/Relationship Difficulties/Boundaries
Career & Life Transitions
Mood Fluctuations
Anger Management
MY APPROACH
As a therapist, it is a priority of mine to be open-minded.
We are all multifaceted; we all have strengths and we all have areas of improvement.
This is why it is important for us to explore past, present, and future in our work together.
I use a variety of theoretical approaches based on the client and presenting concerns. My style is interactive, with both a Humanistic and DBT focus.
Other modalities I frequently implement include:
-
CBT
-
Reality Therapy
-
Solution-Focused Therapy
-
Psychodynamic

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
